I was actually watching the news at the time and no tornado warning yet. It hit a mile from me and sounded like a train was going through my building - it was a big and loud one. Came so fast the pipes were rattling for about 5 seconds (enough time to run to the bathroom but that's all). It damaged/destroyed some homes :( I can't imagine what it felt like even closer...
What're you talking about? At our big 1999 earthquake I waked up after it beginned at about 03. We wish to have a technology let us know earthquakes before 30 seconds.
