Go back to Google Chrome to get to the UT and the delays and lags are immediate again. Really a shame because to all other sites it is soooooooooo much faster than the other browsers I've tested. Oh well....

>Testing Google Chrome beta......,,, (so far so good posting replies, but there was a long delay when I clicked on your message just to view it again) It's difficult to say it's ok until I test throughout the day(s) because the delay/lag is intermittent, but when it happens, it's really bad...

Are you seeing these delays *only* with UT, or intermittently with other sites as well? I had a similar problem about a year ago, intermittent long delays with no rhyme or reason. Turned out my router was going bad. Got a new one, problem gone. Can you test with a different router?

I ran into another obscure problem before that. I have cable service, originally set up with a Terayon cable modem. This was working fine but I noticed the speed was slowly getting less and less. Turned out my ISP had upgraded their network (to a newer version of DOCSIS IIRC) with which the Terayon modem wasn't compatible. My modem still worked, but was relegated to a "legacy" portion of their network, with minimal bandwidth and support. After I complained, they apologetically said I should have had my modem upgraded. I traded it in for a new Motorola - speeds went from 1 - 1.5Mbps on a good day, to 8Mbps full-time.

Just thought I'd mention that in case you have an old cable modem. Cable ISPs are always happy to upgrade you for free, they don't want to have to support old modems.
