I've used Travelocity, Expedia, and Orbitz and did not notice much (if any) difference in prices. There is also

bookingbuddy.com

which allows you to put in your flight parameters and then pick from about 7 different sites to check prices.

FWIW, I've used Priceline twice with very satisfactory results (especially with rental cars). Check the other sites to find "normal" price availability and then try to "Negotiate" a cheaper price via Priceline. The problem with them is you can't pick your flights. You give them an itinerary and if they find any match you have paid for the ticket. You do not get to choose airline and you have very limited options on time of day and possibly number of stops. If that doesn't matter then Priceline may be worth checking out. It's probably best to call them and get all the options explained.

Good Luck
