Thanks Tim,

I like the way the icon gets displayed so I'll stick with that. I have done similar to what you suggest on other pages that I use for searching for the appropriate records.

>Sounds like Bob hit the nail on the head for you. You can always put a message label on your form and set it to invisible. Then trap for the message yourself, set the label to visible = true. You can get the errors when you do your save by calling GetAllBrokenRules method if the mmSaveDataResult comes back as BrokenRules.

I have a Policy Form which allows the user to select a Plan from a gridview, I then display the Plan Code and Description in a text box by concatenating them. The Plan's Primary Key gets stored in Policies.PlanFK. The user must select a Plan as this field cannot be null/empty. How do I tell MM.NET to display the little red exclamation mark icon next to the Plan Code/Description textbox? Right now I get a message that the record cannot be saved and to check the error icons, but none is visible.
