I eventually edited the registry and removed every occurrence of FoxPro - this enabled me to do a clean install

>Would a Windows Restore to a prior working restore point before the power outage work for you? This is the one that restores programs but does not effect data. I have used this many times for issues with all kind of programs with no problem.
