I've posted many times in the past that I support our tax dollars going to take care of those who serve our country and those who are physically or mentally incapable of taking care of themselves.

Good for Obama on this one...

I certainly agree that tax dollars for certain public works, and for taking care of those who served and cannot care for themselves, is a good idea and should be done.

I think we can all agree on that....as did the 419 U.S. representatives and 98 senators earlier this year who voted yes for the bill (without a single "nay" vote and a few absentees).

It was sponsored by Senator Akaka from Hawaii and co-sponsored by 7 other senators.

I guess we can give Obama credit for signing "yes", but I'd rather give credit to the sponsor and co-sponsors (a mix of 2 Republicans and 6 Democrats) for working together.

But regardless, I agree with the principle.
