I have a requirement to disable the "Change Password" button in the System interface request box.

Here is the scenario :-

WIndows NT 4.0 (SRV Pack 1), running with very limited user system profiles. I do not have a problem for the majority of the users on the system, as I can just check the "Do not allow user to change password" box, in their user properties.

However, a couple of users are set to be administrators, and this will then override that setting. This is required because their is another user security system which runs at the application level, with it's own set of passwords, which need to be in synch with the NT password.

Obviously,. if the user can change the NT password, it's going to invalidate security at the application level, and the app will grind to an unceremonious halt.....

All registry hacks will be entusiastically received !
