Can't find it also.. normally here is possible get reference to Application object, then to CurrentSession object and get reference also to ActiveExploer.. but explorer - just abstract class which have not special functions for diffrent type of MAPI folders.
Exlorer has a View.. and View has viewXML which control style of view. but there realy no any specifications for this in internet. Also on microsoft side written not much about this.
If would be nice when ActiveExploer has set of methods to call diffrent function for current mapi folder, but it has not. Or.. I don't know it :)
