Thanks for the help but I fixed that problem by issuing a NODEFAULT after calling the method I use to delete the line in the grid. I use a keypress event in the grid control to watch for the signal to run the delete. Without a NODEFAULT the grid hangs up for the next entry.

What is the rule of thumb for when to use a NODEFAULT? I find myself using it on a trial & error basis. Is there logic to it's use?

Also what can you tell me about programmatically opening a combobox dropdown on entry?
I didn't get the thing to work with a downclick in the setfocus.

Thanks

Jerry
