Try playing around with the DownPicture propery on the checkbox, and the Sparse propery on the column in the grid.

I had though about using the DownPicture property but I wanted to avoid creating a picture. I only need to change the wording of the checkbox so I figured changing the caption would be the approach.

I would like the graphical checkboxes to be visble at all times so I don't believe the Sparse property would help me.
