Does this mean a VFP9 app can read and write to foxpro 2.x and update any CDXs or IDXs?

Also, doesn't VFP try to convert the fox 2.x table if it tries to open the table exclusively?

The goal we have is to make maintaining a legacy Fox2.x app easier. Currently we pass data back and forth from Fox2.x to SQL Server, nightly. We are thinking of having VFP9 handling this nightly maintenance and updating the Fox2.x tables and SQL Server.

Any tips or things to watch out for when doing this?
