Well, my father told me once the story of a clerk in the National Person Registrar (or whatever the name is, the one that gives you a birth certificate) who was a very mean person so when an unlearned person came (it was from a very poor town, and looong time ago, in the 40's) a conversation like this would follow

Parents: We want to name our Baby "Salvador"
Clerck: Let me see... nope, we run out of "Salvadores" for this month
Parents: What about "José"
Clerck: Noo, we run out of "Josés" long time ago
Parents: (After several tries) So what names do you have?
Clerck: Let me see... "Temperance" (or any other weird name)
