I would like to collect feedback from other developers who also use that environment. I also had 3 blue screen of death BTW. It's been a while since I had those. When those occur, I have to reboot. So, usually, I have the PC up and running for months. It is not the same game since I moved to this new OS.
Almost certainly bad hardware of some kind. From what you describe, my first guess would be bad RAM - check with the MemTest86+ download I recommended the other day.
Other possibilities are bad video memory or a failing hard drive.
If you're getting BSODs, Google the exact message (e.g. "irql_not_less_or_equal") and the exact code(s) e.g. 0x8004ab12. That will often narrow down the search.
