For individual files, you can search the entire drive for files above a certain limit, then sort by size.
For folders, there is a tiny utility called Folder Size Shell Extension (freeware), that totals all the files in each folder (recursively), and allows you to drill down to lower levels. Once installed, you access it through "Properties" of a folder.
