>recently one of our client moved their file server to windows 2008 from windows 2003. they also upgraded their Terminal server to windows 2008. since then, we have many problems (index corruption,invalid seek offset and others) whenever trying to access our vfp program from terminal server which access database on the file server.

Al gave you already some hints on the smb2 problems.
Running a dedicated file server IMHO is not the best setup for terminal server -
try moving your data files to the terminal server if possible.

If there are already cristallyzed processes on the file server (backup),
you might daisychain them to the terminal server machine.
