I have similar needs, only I am lazier yet.
I want to make an installer that just gets the folder contents and subfolders as you said.
Further, I don't want to bother compiling a new installer after I update the program.
If I add new files to the project, I want the installer to somehow get all those new files.

I don't even want to notify my users when I make an update - I want them to just (optionally) get the update.
