>>Nothing much - it's just that Srđan and I finally had a chance to talk about everything over a few bottles of Nikšićko crno (Никшићко црно).

>>The Zrenjanin Fox & Dark Beer user group existed for a few hours only; may return to existence any time in the future. See picture.

>Somehow the attached pic passed by me until now. :o) Looks like a couple of curmudgeons... :o) Hey, I thought you quit smoking?! (Or does the smoking only go with the dark beer) :o)

Quit would be too hard of a word. I stopped smoking, on a whim (I was just too PO'd at the nearly racist comments my daughters were receiving on bare suspicion that they may be smoking, because the trained hounds can sniff three molecules of smoke at a mile, so we decided we'd stop smoking inside, which I didn't want to do - if I can't smoke at the keyboard, I'd rather not smoke at all). I just went cold turkey.

Then after a year I decided that absolutely no smoking is an exaggeration equal to smoking four packs a day, and that gaining 17 pounds was far less healthy than moderate smoking - I never did more than a pack a day, and even of those, most died in the ashtray, because I'd forget them. So I forced myself back. After a year of no smoke at all, I went one a week, then after a couple of months two cigarettes a week, then for a couple of years stayed at around a dozen a day. Now I smoke a bit too much, simply because I can, but that'll probably go down after a while.

>Anyway, I bet that was a fun user group!

We gossiped about all of the UT :). Well, more of hunter's tales, the code we wrote, the funny companies we worked for etc. And Nikšićko tamno beer was really good.

>Update: aren't you just a tad close to Belgrade?

An hour's drive, which I wouldn't recommend because the main bridge is under repairs there, and even under the reduced traffic (as it happens in the summer) the drive through Belgrade is chaotic these days. Even the cab from the airport went around Belgrade - saved us a couple of hours.

Balkans, eh? Count them.
