And as far as SMTP, I simply ask the client to give me the information, and I put it in a ini file, instead of digging through the registry, or where ever else Microsoft decides to put it. Now in Windows 7 it is moved away from the registry into a folder.

SMTPServerName : do you know how many people know about what you are talking? Plenty believe you are asking / installing a virus or whatever dangerous thing, I am aming on an application to be used by unexperienced but would realy like to know why my application calls an error so would like to read an errorlog. Wil docter on an acceptable solution.
