Does it happen after you get a code error and/or start the debugger? If that's the case since your code file isn't in the current directory VFP gets itself into a state where it can't open the .fxp file for output. The only thing you can do is shutdown VFP and restart it. While you are debugging the routine in question, move the source to the current directory, then put it where it belongs after you are done testing it.
>Yes, my file structure is arranged so I have a main directory which contains the DBC and data files and subdirectories for forms,code,menus,reports etc. The path is set to include all these subdirectories. One thing I failed to mention is that I also get the message that 'source is out of date' sometimes when I manually compile the code. Hope this give you insight....
