Of course MS wants sell more copies of VS.

Going back to the old days, there were lots of hackers out there. Today, where are they? They're using Open Source tools mostly, because there really isn't anything from MS, except an older version of Access (Access is now targeted as a SharePoint tool). MS sees a gap in their product line and they're trying to fill it.

But, I still come back to my earlier point. It isn't any different than what we have now.

>I guess I just see too many poorly written apps developed by wanna be programmers or people with little to no real training. This type of app is targeted directly at them and only serves to reinforce that notion that they're programmers when they're not. I'm talking about the small business owner who doesn't want to pay a real programmer to come in and do it right.

He really didn't have any idea what he was doing, but he was plugging away trying to sell business apps. Then, one day he realized he didn't really know what he was doing and hired me to do fix all his apps. They all turned into rewrites.

>Seems to me that this is just another ploy by MS to get people in the hook to buy VS.
