What do you mean by the method being a success? How do you handle errors. What you are doing is not how things should work in .NET. Spend some time looking at the design guidelines.

As for the second part, I always rely on As Boolean for the method definition to return its success. Even if it can always be a success, assuming only one very little line, I always use that technique as I can make the method evolve and later on, maybe there could a situation that a false would be needed.
