That doesn't mean I think Palin is qualified to be president, but at least she is American and is interested in working FOR the US, not against it.

If that's all that mattered, we could have George Bush back. But look what happened to him.

Here's the problem....Obama won because of the large anti-Bush sentiment. Just like 1980 saw many "Reagan Democrats" who crossed party lines and voted for Reagan, 2008 saw many disillusioned "Obama Republicans" who crossed and voted for Obama.

The same thing could happen if Palin somehow got in. 4 years of her would probably lead to many "protest votes". (Though maybe it's a moot point...i'm not sure she's even electable to begin with)

The Republican party needs a strong and credible leader. I'm still not sure who that will be.

It was early 2007 when Obama became a true face. If by early to mid 2011 we haven't seen a strong candidate emerge, then I'm not looking forward to 2012.
