This is an old argument between us. (And I hope you are well). Where I have been working has, or should I say had, a number of Hispanic employees in the shipping and receiving department. They were disproportionately axed during a mass firing after poor second quarter financials. The distribution department was not the problem. They were doing their jobs, were nice people around the coffee machine and the train platform. The problem was some spectacularly bad new product bets by top management. But no, their heads weren't the ones to roll. The people who were tossed into unemployment in a rotten economy were the most poorly paid in the company. And AFAIK they were fully legal workers. They were scapegoats and it really steamed me. It's the boneheads with six figure incomes who made bad decisions on dumb products who should have been axed.
