If anyone should be a little frosted, it should be me. To be honest, after your email tirade, part of me wished I'd said something longer than 2 months.

Hmmm.

I do not recall the disagreement going on quite that long. There were two emphatic words, which I deserved to be booted for. Yes, I do remember the immediate reaction, which was misplaced on Michel. And a couple of angry emails. If you are coloring this as some sort of ongoing campaign you are misrepresenting. Yes, I said some things I should not have, fueled by alcohol. Not good and I am not defending it. That said, there has been no communication between us in many weeks.

Has anyone ever been banned from here for life? Michel gives members non-trivial time to cool off and it generally works.

More enjoyable topic -- beisbol. I replied to Tamar's weekly checkup email not long ago saying it was immature of me to cheer against Roy Halladay for a while.after the debate with you and Alan. (Yes, she really does send me an email every Tuesday). I was irritated enough to cheer against Halladay for a while, which was completely immature. He is as good you say. Lincecum has a better record this season, as he does every season -- and this is for a crap hitting team -- but Halladay's ERA is nearly a run lower. Let's just leave it that both are very good pitchers.

In the year of the pitcher in the post-steroid era neither of them is probably going to finish in the top three in the Cy Young voting. That would be Jimenez and the two guys from the Cardinals. I am not ignorant about baseball but the Cardinals fool me every year. I think they're not going to be that good and they are. Tony LaRussa? Albert Pujols, without much question the best hitter in baseball? Consistently good defense and fundamentals? Whatever it is, they get the job done.
