I can understand they will have their own brand of hopefully equivalent products, but I would not like to get tied to one supplier. Like I use FinchSync to snyc my contacts, Todos and Reminders with Thunderbird and SunBird.

I have an iPhone and I like it a lot. First let me say that for me internet access is number 1. I mention that because apparently in the U.S.A. there seems to be problems with AT&T.

Some say that iPhone doesn't have a keyboard????? There is one. Ok not physical but still very usable. I'm sorry but to me many of those physical keyboards are practically unusable over a long period. Unless you like typing with toothpicks ;-) So the keyboard usability on smart phones is highly debatable.

Perhaps I'm not a power user. I mean I type emails from time to time but when I do it it's for things that can't wait. I also have a portable and a desktop computer. So for serious work I use one of those. I really don't see the day when I write a novel with my iPhone ;-)

Another cool thing. Forgive me because I don't know to what extent other smart phones let you do that. The iPhone tethering. If I'm somewhere that doesn't have WIFI internet access I can use my iPhone to have that access. I just plog the iPhone in my USB drive or do it with BlueTooth and that's it.

I like the GPS, iPod... I like everything about it.

I guess that being amazed by the iPhone cold be explained by the fact that It's my first smartphone and that my other cell compared to an iPhone was crap.

The other day I went to the Apple store and I saw someone I know waiting in line for the iPhone 4. He told me that he lost his iPhone and that for a replacement he's been using a blackberry. He told me it's ok but it's not an iPhone. Before I left the store it looked like he was one of the lucky ones getting an iPhone 4.

I can't wait to see the replies from iPhone bashers over here :-)
