William, I was stunned by some of Obama's comments. It was an eye-opening experience.
I've noticed a trend where many to the left just don't want to hear ANYTHING regarding Obama. The other day I overheard a conversation where someone made a point about Obama, and another person (an Obama supporter) shouted loudly, "I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT" and stormed out of the room.
I know this doesn't acccount for ALL his supporters, but I've noticed a strong trend where supporters just don't want to hear any facts at all. (Or they reply with, "well, Bush was just as bad".) Sorry, but George Bush (or Bill Clinton, etc.) isn't the standard by which to evaluate presidents.
I'll tell you something - the best president we've seen in our lifetimes, wasn't even president for a full term. Gerald Ford. He had flaws, sure - but IMO was the best of what we've seen.
