Sorry to hear things did not work as hoped for. Crossing my fingers you work off via through physical activity like riding your bike, running or hitting a heavy bag instead the other way. And yes, go read some code written by the "new guys" in other languages - you will get the drift [it's only code and roll] - also the attitude is refreshing in some of the OS active lists. Books might cost a bit, but can be read again.
