I'm thinking that the latter message is kinda that same as what I receive. So, this begs the question, why do I get this error? I know for a fact that myVFP.exe has that procedure built into it.

I sometimes used this pattern with apps - so I guess it should work. Calling procs is easier than using objects via createobject(). You are sure it is a top level proc ? Otherwise Naomi's guess would be my next question...
