>But no errors are being thrown. The windows external program just opens, stays for a moment and then closes. I ran sysinternals Processmonitor and all file and registry reads and writes have been granted withno reported errors. I will however follow your instructions and get to work as per your suggested path.

Read events commented out/somehow not available/reached in program flow in the called app on mystery machine is the only other thing popping up at the description... Still some Wait Window sys(16) timeout 2 at program start might show what is happening if your program is called at all. Or the set coverage....

>BTW... Years ago, VFP9 came with a trial of Installsheild, which was very helpful in gathering up and installing all of the vfp support files necessary to run a vfp app on a target computer's installation. I lost that somewhere along the line. Can you suggest a free Installation package that would gather up, copy and register the necessary support files on the target computer? In this way I can be certain that the runtime files supporting my app are exactly what is running on my development computer.

For such work I have a Zip of all the needed files from a known to be working config: one minimal, if I happen to work not via broadband, and just a recursive zip of my vfp install for other cases. XCopy deployment will loose niceties like vfp opening on table click, but for such cases I am more eager to get all traces of my visit gone via OS delete<bg>.
