The lead singer was Maria McKee, a whirling dervish standing about 5 foot nothing. Her singing "You are the Light" was one of the most tremendous concert experiences of my life. It was like Janis Joplin brought back to life. It was in a club and I was right in front of the stage. She looked straight into my eyes for most of the song. I was just raving about being close to Keef as he played but this was just as memorable.
