Wellll....not strictly true. VFP will support a 3D database topology (like for data warehousing) simply because DW theory has been grafted unto RDBMS. Essentially, what you are talking about is a granularity issue. I am aware of a project where the base data store is Oracle and VFP is used to particulate the data into virtual 3D tables.
