Kevin. Wow. I have to say I really agree with you. I am disappointed in this country, but not enough to leave it. All I have to do to come to my senses is remember the folks I served with who were not born in this country but came here and joined the military and risked their lives for it. (Having the experience of spending time in other countries with fewer freedoms certainly helps as well)
