CURSORGETPROPERTY("Buffering") it reports 2 (row buffering as set in the form) I do a APPEND BLANK with the "Add" button then a =TABLEREVERT(.T.) with the "Revert" button. The data blanks but the empty row remains in the table.

It should work. If you move the record pointer between the APPEND BLANK and the user entering the data you'll force an implicit TABLEUPDATE().
