Hi All,
FWIW - To anyone who has not yet upgraded to Win7: I made the change this weekend from Vista Business to Windows 7 Pro. It went really quite straight forward, no problems and all previous software works except the Epson Scan software (which is no problem since Windows has its own fax and scan software which works fine).
The system appears to run smoother and a little faster. I like the operational improvements, Explorer, the Windows toolbar, and the usual eye-candy additions. But what surprised me the most was the 5 to 6 Gb reduction in disk space requirements! That’s quite something; to see a disk space reduction rather than increase.
VFP8 and 9 run fine, all our apps run fine, all 3rd party tools, OCX,DLL are all working. So, all round the simplest Windows upgrade I have ever done and pleased with the end result. Vista never gave us any problems btw, I just upgraded in order to stay current with end-user machines etc.
