>And now you want us to believe you decided you were an atheist at the age of 5. That takes self aggrandizement to a new level.

>It's 100% true. When I was five, I was forced to go to Bible School. The teacher talked about the story of Elijah and Elisha. Until then, no one really explained to me the concept of God. Well, I didn't buy a word of it, said so, and was asked not to come back. <s>

I have more respect for someone who proudly professes their faith (even if I don't agree with it) in the face of dissent, than a wishy-washy agnostic who vacillates to avoid confrontation or to curry favor.
He has "confessed" numerous times to being a Christian. If you choose to believe internet whatnot that's your business.
The interesting thing, and AA has probably been an influence here, is I am much less judgmental about the existence of God than I used to be. I would be more accurately described as an agnostic than an athiest. I really don't know and would not be surprised either way. If there is no God then where did we come from? Did we somehow just emerge from the slime from fish or the ancestors of monkeys? And who made the fish and monkeys?
