Personally I'd think any other behaviour would be a nightmare - most of the time you would have to manually expand all collapsed regions prior to a search to be sure of not missing something.....

I'm 100% sure VS 2008 didn't search in collapsed regions. I don't want to fire VS 2008 now to double check.

Also, how do you explain the documentation I posted link earlier?
