Concentrate on your work. I know from experience how not making use of your intellectual talents can be eroding to your self-esteem and cause all kinds of self-destructive behavior. If the end of your contract is coming up put all your energy into getting established with what's next. You know you are at your best when you're working hard and getting strokes for being really good at something, so focus there. You've pulled yourself out of it before by doing that and if you focus on that and make it your goal you can do that again.

Every day you don't drink, you win. And every day you learn something new and become better at what you do is a good day.
