If you can write it as a web app, the experience of hitting a corporate web server on the iPad is sweet. I have an Asp.Net app running on a local IIS server on our LAN and I can hit it from the outside, with user authenitcation, and see my web app in the Safari browser on the iPad. Of course, with this structure, I can also hit the app from ANY browser, so what the device is doesn't really matter. But, there is just something "magical" <g> about hitting your corporate web server from an iPad while sitting in a client's office, or at some wi-fi enabled hot spot while you are on the go.
