This seems to indicate that having any opinion other then yours is proof of not thinking for oneself. Certainly a position that I can't agree with.

There is no given that VFP being focused on middle tier will cause anything to be lost in the other capabilities in VFP. MS know it is used for business database apps and doesn't want to lose any of its market.
