A possible competitor to Access, perhaps. Dangerous, I am not so sure about that. But, Fox still had the xBase baggage to deal with. By 1992, it was too late. If anything was going to happen, it needed to happen in 88 or 89.

I am sorry, I just don't see this point. VFP and SQL Server are two very different products. To compare them is like comparing apples and oranges. SQL Server has capabilities not found in VFP. VFP is a database app development environment. SQL Server is an RDBMS - period. The two are complimentary - not substitutes...
