Gerard, Tablet Windows has been grumbling along for a while with very little traction. MS may achieve a revival, but your customer won't thank you if you lock them into a slow lane while they watch their preferred iPad platform speeding ahead. The newer Windows pads I know about use CE6.2 or CE6.5, which barely registers in the technology adoption race, and doesn't allow desktop apps to be used without work in any case. And WinCE7 is just around the corner requiring a complete development restart. IMHO it's far better to go with the customer's preference for iPad, or Android, since both are prevalent and unlikely to lurch across the market screwing you up.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
