I didn't check very far either. I think you're right so, given Gerard's stipulation that the app will need to run where there is no connectivity it's a bit of a non-starter.

If I were Gerard I'd look for and suggest a 8-10" Windows based tablet PC (there are plenty to choose from depending on the degree of ruggedness etc). Forget the IPad - or let someone else do it....
