Are you embedding parameter into SelectCmd or you use parameter in both cases? If the latter, then CursorRefresh is better - you don't need to re-build the grid every time and also I believe there is some extra processing involved internally in CA (e.g. CursorFill is supposed to be more expensive).
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
