Well, that has never stopped me before. I tend to be a contrarian by nature. Having worked in the government for the last 24 years, I also question what others say as fact. Where did they get that information, why are they saying what they say, are they "spinning" it?

Well, when something else comes along that I believe is superior, I'll jump ship. "Sworn to fun and loyal to none!" or so the saying goes. If VB ever gets the performance of VFP at the same price, I'm gone. There will be no reason to stay. I don't see that happening though. Until then, I'm happy with Fox and the other tools I'm using and learning.
