You'll have to check openssl documentation (openssl can encrypt an arbitrary string stored in a file put the result in another file - particularly, take a look at the
openssl enc command).
Nevertheless, and before going that way, I would suggest to look at the Crypto API Fox Foundation Class and see if it has everything you'll need to the certification of your software.
Meanwhile, I'll go private with the Portuguese :-)
