When was the the last shy retiring humble President

One was Truman (the likes of which we need right now). In the beginning he didn't want the job. But wound up making a few good decisions. He wasn't perfect, but was one of our better ones.

And despite all the jokes about Ford, Gerald Ford would have made a good president for a full term.

Reagan was an anomaly. A single speech at the convention in 1964 put him on the map. There were successes that occured IN SPITE OF HIM more than because of him. Reagan was like the Forrest Gump of U.S. Presidents - he'd step in sh__, and yet something rather interesting would grow.

George W. had his share of flaws - but is a far more honorable man than Obama. Obama is a lying bastard.
