Hi,

I'm trying to start using Reporting Services and have an issue with IIS. I installed SQL Server Express 2008 R2 with Advanced Services and let the install configure Reporting Services. Now I realise that I need IIS on my PC, so I installed IIS. However, when I try to access http://localhost I then get prompted for a user name and password. Likewise, If I try to access the Report Manager using the URL in the RS Config Manager.

I have found advice on line that this is a user security issue, and that I need to set file permissions, but I never had to do that before (I used to have IIS working, but had re-formatted and re-installed everything on this PC). If I check the Directory Security for the default web site I see Anonymous access is allowed for IUSR_MyMachine Name.

Can any IIS/Reporting Services person talk me through this, please?

Thanks
Frank.
