FWIW, Halladay has not looked great his last few starts. We were there to see him on Saturday night and he gave up 4 solo HRs. Phils won anyway, which I guess makes up for one of those 1-0 or 2-1 games earlier. He goes through periods where he's not quite stellar...(maybe goes 2-2, 2-3), then rips off 5-6 straight wins.
Keep in mind that they were all solo shots, that Milwaukee is something like 3rd or 4th in home runs, and that Citizens Bank is a death sentence for many starting pitchers. I think the wind was blowing about 20 mph in the game. Not making excuses, it wasn't vintage Halladay, but he can win even on nights when he doesn't have his best stuff.
He still went 7 and struck out 6. Also, two of the 4 Milwaukee HRs didn't even clear 385 feet, and none cleared 400 feet. In half the NL ballparks, those are long fly outs.
