That one I knew - was quite glad that my taste is not so finetuned
[or I am too cheap to splurge for such expiriences]
OTOH trying out other tastes is necessary for kids to get a broader spectrum and develop own preferences.
And how much would knowledge damp the taste after a well-received "blind test" ?
After all, basics of fertilization should be easy to google even for city kids...
