Yes, with some caveats:
- The proxy may have bandwidth limitations; streamed video is a bandwidth hog
- You're explicitly setting up the proxy as a man-in-the-middle of everything you do over that link. Do you know who the proxy is? Are you sure they're not malicious?
- Even if the proxy itself isn't malicious, traffic to/from known proxies may be monitored. Imagine, for a moment, that you have some background in intelligence work. Wouldn't traffic through those sites be a yummy target for Carnivore or its descendants?
